diary

We took a Eurostar train from London to Paris. It ran fast, but we couldn't see the scene outside the train in the tunnel, of course, so the journey was not so interesting.
We arrived at Paris at 12 o'clock. First we booked a train ticket. We were afraid that we might have to speak in French, but he could speak English.
Before we took a metro, we needed a map of subway lines. I couldn't remember how to say "map" in French, but the President asked to the ticket officer, "do you have a map?" That was enough to communicate. You don't have to use French all the time. When they can speak English, it is clear that we should use English, too.
It stinks in the station of metro.
After checking-in to the youth hostel, we went to the Museum of Orsay. Compared to the British museum which exhibits historical things, this museum mainly exhibits arts in 17th or 18th century. I prefer the former, but many paintings by famous artists interested me very much. We stayed there until just before the museum closed.
Then we went to the "Gaisen mon". It was so huge! Unfortunately we couldn't go just under the arch, because there was something like ceremony. We walk around the Avenue des Champs-Elysees (Syanzerize oodoori). We went into a open-cafe to have dinner. The cafe was very close to the "Gaisen mon". We had many dishes shown below.
After dinner, we went to the Tower of Eiffel. It was already dark outside, so the sight from the top of the tower was very beautiful.
We went back to the hostel just before midnight. We were both exhausted, since we walked a lot.
Homework to Chicken: translate the title of today's diary into Japanese. Hahaha!
